MYTH: “CBD IS MARIJUANA”

Fact:

MYTH: “ALL OILS ARE THE SAME”

As already illustrated in the example with peanuts, different bodies can react differently to the same natural or artificial substance. It is even more complex with CBD because the hemp plant contains more than 100 different active ingredients (called cannabinoids).

Depending on what kind of hemp the oil was obtained from and produced and the manufacturing process itself, these cannabinoids are contained in different proportions in the CBD oil.

When we talk about CBD oil, we mainly differentiate between 3 different product types. These are CBD isolates, full-spectrum products, and “ broad-spectrum” products.

CBD Isolates

CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD. Other active ingredients such as THC, terpenes, and flavonoids are removed during production.

This pure CBD is usually available in crystal or powder form. Isolates are not necessarily the most natural option, but they have a particularly high CBD content.

“Broad-spectrum” CBD oils (full spectrum without THC)

Oils in which the CBD is extracted from the hemp plant without THC, but which contains all terpenes, flavonoids, and other hemp active ingredients, are sometimes also referred to as “broad spectrum.”

As a rule, they should have the same effect as natural full-spectrum products, since they also only contain THC in a very small amount. The legally permitted THC content is so low that it can hardly be said to have a significant effect.

Full-spectrum CBD oils (with THC)

Full-spectrum oils differ only in the view of broad-spectrum oils that they can contain up to 0.2% THC.

This form of CBD contains all the active ingredients in hemp. In the US, such products are legal, and you can even buy CBD oil in pharmacies and ordinary shops.

Many people are still worried because it contains THC. Even if it is legally unobjectionable, the concern remains in the back of your mind.

CBD is often used for many ailments, such as sleep problems, depression, migraines, and pain. However, that does not mean that it works exactly the same for everyone.

Realistically, one cannot hope for a permanent cure. It is not a panacea and should not be misunderstood as something like this.

CBD interacts with a body’s own system, which could be beneficial for people struggling with anxiety attacks and depression. If you experience a relaxing effect, the oil could also do a lot in the case of ordinary work or everyday stress. It could be used for prevention because stress permanently damages mental and physical health. A 2011 study also suggests that it could reduce social anxiety, particularly in public speaking.
