CBD FAQ

Frequently asked questions about CBD

CBD (cannabidiol) is a molecule that has taken the world of science by surprise. However, the powerful healing properties reported for CBD are numerous, diverse and cannot be ignored. They include: analgesia, soothing and calmness, anti-anxiety and antipsychotic effects, sleep problems, reduction of infections (chronic), bone healing, improved epileptic seizure control, suppression of cancer and tumor development, the functioning of the heart muscles as well as improving the condition of diabetics, and many other benefits.

Therefore, since the early 1990s, the dawn of the CBD industry has arrived, and the number of studies on the subject has accelerated. In one study, researchers used lab rats (laboratory mice commonly used in medical and nutrition studies) and tested for various enzymes. The presence of dopamine and its degradation products were also examined. Cell cultures from a mouse brain source were prepared, and the effect of the substance was observed. The results showed that there is evidence of the neuroprotectivity of cannabinoids in the animal’s model of Parkinson’s disease. Regular administration of CBD to rats has resulted in a significant recovery of dopaminergic (dopamine-induced) transmission caused by 6-OHDA.

Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about CBD.

Frequent questions

Question: What are the effects of CBD?

Answer: at low levels (1 – 20 mg), CBD relaxes you and helps take away the stress of your day without sedating. At higher concentrations (20 mg or more), you can relax a lot, and it can even make you sleep. Question: What is CBD hemp oil?

Answer: CBD hemp oil is the non-psychoactive compound of cannabis derived from hemp and serves to soothe the body and mind.  CBD is a cannabinoid but whether this is sourced from hemp or from cannabis sativa doesn’t technically matter.  However, our suppliers have agreed to source only from hemp and to carefully control the extraction process and keep THC content under the industry accepted level.  This is similar to drinking an non-alcoholic beer where technically it has a miniscule amount of alcohol in it.

Question: What is CBD oil for vaporizing?

Answer: It is a type of oil to vaporise that contains CBD (cannabidiol), this usually takes the form of cartriges for ‘vaping’ which are flavored.  If you vape, you should definitely try our CBD vaping cartridges, it’s a great way to integrate CBD products into your life and the absorption is really fast.

Question: What are edible CBD products?

Answer: They are the ingestible products containing CBD (cannabidiol) – a healing agent with no psychoactive properties derived from the hemp plant. CBD Gummies are a great example of this.  They taste great and you can eat more or less depending on the amount of CBD you are after.

Question: Is CBD oil and hemp oil the same?

Answer: No, they are not the same. CBD oil is prepared by extracting a specific compound (CBD) from the seeds and stems of the hemp. This oil is used to create other products. On the other hand, hemp oil (also known as hemp seed oil) is prepared with a completely different process. To create this oil, the seeds of the plant are cold pressed. Hemp oil does not have cannabinoids, although it is rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, and it serves as cooking oil.

Question: Can I drug myself with the hemp seeds?

Question: Can I get high with hemp?

Answer: No. The hemp plant is grown specifically for its stems and low THC levels. Certain strains of cannabis sativa (marijuana) are bred to contain high levels of THC.  However, we are a health and wellness company so we do not carry this type of product.  You cannot get high off of our products.
